This is great. Seems to be soft-focussed but the larger view shows amazing detail. Like what you’ve done with the shadowing and cropping.

this is really good Sharon, the isolated light on the face works well, and I know some people object to hair across eyes/face, but I think it projects the image of someone with a rebellious nature and adds to the character.

The cropping is definately fantasitc and adds to the impact of this image. And the way her face emerges from the background is also a winner. Great freckles too. This is probably what makes her “the girl next door” unless of course it actually is!

Hey Marie, yes, she is the girl next door….well, the girl across the road actually. I love her freckles & her jet black hair which is always in her eyes.
