In 1963, at Shaab Rumi (Red Sea/Sudan) the legendary Jacques Cousteau built a small underwater-village to find out how long divers could stay under the surface. The project kept divers down for at about 4 weeks. After the project ended, the submarine hangar, an anti-shark-cage and a small scooter garage were left on the 10m/30ft deep ground – and can be visitied by divers still today…
