mhkantor
this is a tour de force. exceptional painting. everything about it is exceptional from strokes to
color. masterful. (don’t forget sophie i am using a computer (can’t afford traditional means) you
are painting on paper and canvas. usually a much longer and demanding process. also with
ink often unforgiving in that it is difficult (and on paper near impossible to do seamlessly) to change your mind or correct an error even with white out. very easy on a computer. this is definitely a fave.
Sophie Shapiro replied
I’m so glad…I love this painting!You are very complimentary…thank you!S

Lovely image, reminds me of encaustic (wax) art. Great effect :o)
Sophie Shapiro replied

Yes Sophie, the weather here is beautiful. Sorry you’re getting rained on. I remember now why I came to Mexico! It’s going to be hot here for April and May and then on June 15th almost to the day it will start the rainy season and we’ll have rain every night until Oct 15th.
At least the rain should encourage you to paint. If you need any encouragement!
Regards, Brian.
Sophie Shapiro replied
Brian….it’s snowing!!!!!!!!!!Can you believe it? I’m glad you’re well and enjoying the weather….you are right, I don’t need the encouragement!I’m waiting to see what you paint on your canvas! Kind regards, Sophie

For me that picture has a story about lady bird and you bring a close up a beautiful white wing of the fallen angel…He is fallen because he experienced love and passion and become weak…
