The Spirit of Henslow.....For Mavis

John in reply to your question…...Henslow, John Stevens 1796–1861, English botanist. He was professor of mineralogy (1822–27) and of botany (1827–61) at Cambridge Univ. Henslow was a teacher and friend of Charles Darwin, whom he recommended as naturalist to the Beagle expedition. He wrote on scientific farming and also A Catalogue of British Plants (1829) and Dictionary of Botanical Terms (1857).

John Stevens Henslow was a wonderful teacher both in the classroom and in the field. Darwin owed a great deal to this unassuming gentleman,who first introduced him to Captain Fitzroy of H.M.S Beagle. I’m glad your pleased with my dedication to him….Thank you!S

I did this painting for my mentor, healer and friend. Mavis is such a wonderful woman and one that I aspire to! I have never met a person like her. Paul thank you for your wonderful comment and interest. I use an old credit card to make the movements. I don’t use a paint brush at all. I work with my hands and Spirit guides me. I know that the luminosity that appears is related to the Healing Light that we can all benefit from. I work very fast and have no preconceived idea of what I’m doing. I attune myself to Spirit and just simply paint. The reason I put the work up on RB is because these works are meant for everyone and not inclusively for myself. Whatever size paper I use, I will not cut anything off as there is so much information in every section and if I never painted again, I have enough to study until I die. If there’s anything else you would like to know and I can help you in anyway, please let me know! My paintings are going to be examined in greater detail later in the year by experts in the field of Psychic studies which I’m very excited about!
