Do It Anyway

Do It Anyway

Do it Anyway

People are often unreasonable,
illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
you will win some false friends and true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Words by Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa a wonderful lady that received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1980 for her humanitarian work. She just appeared while I was painting. I stopped inorder not to paint over her. She obviously wants us to remember something today….I share it with you all.

    Thank you for these words Kathie! Mother Teresa was a very special lady that loved so many people and gave to those who have/had very little. An example to us all! I hope you are well? Wishing you a wonderfully creative week!Sx

    I see a very proud and strong woman with a safety pin on her white headpiece. Her
    red arm behind her she strides with grace and a profound commitment. There is
    a lot of energy in this wonderful dedication to the great Mother Teresa and
    her words of love reflect her loving and generous heart and extraordinary wisdom.
    She reminds me of another woman who many people admire and also “knows her
    false friends, but does not spend time attending to people who are unkind,
    selfish and dishonest. She believes that despite adversity and what happens to
    each of us, it is more important how you handle life’s trials and tribulations. Possessing a keen intellect and exceptional intuition and creativity, she is a wonderful
    companion to share a branch of an old oak tree with solid roots as deep as
    hers. This special lady also knows how to make those who are fortunate to share
    a twig feel very special and she “gives the word the best” she has. Thanks for
    sharing this amazing vision of this wonderful lady who knows how to make
    any twig on your tree remember this noble spirit.

    Julie, I feel very embarrassed because I was in two minds as to whether I should upload this painting. Then I noticed this wonderful painting by Hidemi Tada – I then reflected and thought two appearances of Mother Teresa must mean something and I have uploaded it on both this site and Unseen’s – Your words have brought me more meaning than you know….Thank you for them Julie! You are a treasure!Sx
