Circumambulation
Buddhist circumambulation of a temple or stupa places the worshipper in tune with cosmic rhythms and symbolises progression toward self knowledge and enlightenment or nirvana. The direction of the Hindu and Buddhist circumambulation is clockwise, following the apparent path of the sun in the Northern hemisphere.

Margaret you are absolutely right! Tissue paper could be a fantastic medium, I might try that and let you know when I’ve done something. I very behind on comments and viewing work but will catch up! I’m really interested to see what you’ve been up to. Sorry, if you feel I’ve neglected you recently but feel you won’t hold it against me? Thinking of you in beautiful Scotland!Sx

wonderful light and color. is that a rodeo clown just right of center. red nose and fringed jacket or shirt. upper left seems to be a partial skull clown too. with a candystripped collar and jellow jumpsuit. fun painting sophie, instant fave for me.
mhkantor, about 1 month ago
actually the clown on the left practically fills the whole left side out to about 1/4 of the canvas.
(sorry about this extra comment but wanted to clarify.)

DM I can imagine this on glass! I have done alot of work on glass! There was a time I just couldn’t stop! There was a wonderful old glass factory were I used to go and pick the most wonderful pieces and create these large stain glass pictures, which was very time consuming and very expensive. After my holiday I may experiment with glass again! You’ve reminded me how much I loved it! It could be interesting…Thank you for that suggestion! I hope you’re well? Thinking of you!Sx

when you do it, please bring it to us! i’ll love to see it. glass is magical! all is just great, i hope the same with you! be well!

Glorious colors and light, so full of peace and harmony, but energizing as well…I have often thought that your work would look awesome on glass as well, and at times I swear it looks like you have used fiberglass in your compositions… :-)

I can hear the bells ringing Sophie. Have you been to Mt Kailash to do the circuit – one of my dreams in celebration of Being! Love to see some of your work on glass – it’s something I’ve thought of but just buying paper is enough for me. right now. XXXXXX

Full of happiness, joy and sheer elation, an abundance of cosmic energies….Sophie; Superb work here my friend!
When asked to define “beauty” by Glenn Clark this is what Walter Russell replied…...
“Perfection of rhythm, balanced perfection of rhythm. Everything in Nature is expressed by rhythmic waves of light. Every thought and action is a light-wave of thought and action. If one interprets the God within one, one’s thoughts and actions must be balanced rhythmic waves. Ugliness, fears, failures and diseases arise from unbalanced thoughts and actions. Therefore think beauty always if one desire vitality of body and happiness.”
