Thinking of Burma

Thinking of Burma

“Hatred never ceases by hatred: but by love alone is healed. This is an ancient and eternal law.” Out of the mouths of people who had been wounded, oppressed, made homeless, aggrieved, and crushed by the pain of war, came a prayer proclaiming the ancient truth about love, a truth that was greater than all the sorrows they had seen and felt.......And now a Cyclone

Duh. I reacted to the visual before I read the dedication and the reason behind the work. And yes, let us think of them and what horror they are going through.

A heartfelt and poignant tribute to all the beautiful lost souls who have passed over the bridge to a more peaceful and harmonious world. Your images and words are powerful and eloquent combining to create this dramatic image and touching tribute so all of us can think about and feel the spirits of those of were swept away by the cyclone after being “crushed by war.” You are so gifted that you never cease to amaze me, the keen intellect and soul of a Talmudic scholar. There is no doubt that your roots are deep in the spiritual soil of those who once suffered the pain of slaves overpowered by the controlling powers before the Exodus.

page four.. first I look at the shot without looking at the title and see what I can gather.. next the title… then finally the comments.. which tells all. The twist of the body.. lines are seen.. the use of distance can be felt with the smear on the bottom as that is what is torn to shreads… and the eye of the storm is seen as clarity.
