There are many examples throughout history where people who held unorthodox opinions where frequently ostracised, ignored or punished. William Blake received such a punishment himself for admitting that he had seen an angel sitting in a tree. I have been very fortunate to experience a wealth of encounters with My Spirit Guides. My journey began four years ago. I paint very quickly, using a variety of materials and colour. I am a conduit for Spirits work and it has taken me some time to understand the meanings of the paintings, characters and places they represent.
I have over the last four years worked extensively with My Spirit Guides. I am very fortunate to meet many interesting people from The Spirit World. Through my work I hope to gain more knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
I have no control over who decides to appear in my work, although I have started to see certain people within the layers of paint as they appear on the paper or canvas. I work excessively and hope to publish a book concerning the many visitations I experience, by the end of this year.

My intention is to devote the rest of my life to Spiritual Painting and to gain insights with which I can support and transform people’s lives, with the help of My Spirit Guides.
I have been very fortunate to have a feature article in a Downtown LA Magazine by the invitation of Don Noyes-More; Editor in Chief. Dr. Julie Marks kindly wrote the article which accompanied my work titled:

Sophie’s work is extraordinary transcending boundaries and offering us new spiritual insights that not only defines her as a profound and exceptional artist, but as a healer who is not distracted by the usual visual habits that distract and prevent artists from real seeing. She is a visionary, an active participant in life’s adventure with a creative intelligence that allows her to experience multi-dimensions. She listens from the depths always leaving room for the unexpected to happen in which the personal and collective unconscious reveal alternative realities reflected in the spirits guided by mediums in her work.
Sophie has the amazing ability to perceive the unheard and the unspoken that unfolds in her paintings bringing new conceptual meaning to time and space. In an altered state, I believe that this exceptionally gifted painter creates a communion with spirit and shares her paranormal experiences with those that have an open mind to receive the gift of her healing energy and pure artistic
Integrity. Where two or more are gathered she exists in the midst, a woman who
paints with a quality of attention that is the greatest gift to those who are fortunate to experience her work on a visceral level.
She expresses a higher order of consciousness, a higher state of being and for those who sense her energy and the frequency from which she paints; the viewer can be subtly or profoundly transformed. Sophie gives all of us the opportunity to share a higher energy state, and with it comes an enlargement of consciousness with a heightening of intuition and intelligence.
She shares expansive feelings of love and well-being, states of mystical opening as well as the turbulence of the river that flows over obstacles without pushing the natural flow creating an element of grace, a surrendering into life on its terms.
She is truly a remarkable and magical artist, a healer of the spirit and soul and is deserving of the highest praise. Congratulations Sophie. I can think of no one more deserving of being rewarded as the featured artist of the week in Painters in Modern Times.

My paintings may stir the viewer to see what needs to be thrown away or torn down and whatever remains can provide us with an opportunity to recreate ourselves. There are many doors we walk through in our lives and these paintings remind us to close the door behind. Freeing us to do more things, this may help us to understand our choices and visions. Grounding us without unbalancing our personalities, helping us to awaken a Spiritual understanding, which can help to transmute our fears and accept our paths, whatever they may be.
