On our recent trip to Victoria, we stopped off for a day and night in Robe South Australia, were Karen and I got to meet fellow Bubbler Kathy Parker and her wonderful family. Kathy guided us to some really amazing spots, one of the beaches looked like it was straight out of a movie set, it was so Beautiful. Well this amazing spot was about 20klms out of Robe along a dirt road, on our way back to town, I seen this amazing Kodak moment along the dirt road, well in my Case a Canon moment lol. I just couldn’t pass this up as there is nothing like an Aussie Windmill “Down on the Farm”.

Thank you very much to Kathy Parker and her wonderful family, who took time out of there very busy schedule to come meet Karen and I and showing us some of the amazing spot’s in and Around Robe, thank you so kindly for your wonderful hospitality Kathy :)

HDR Image, Processed in Photomatix and Tweaked in Photoshop with a slight painting effect to give it even more of the Country Lifestyle feel! Captured on the Canon 7D, while teamed up with the Tamron 10-24mm lens.

Thank you for viewing :)

    Hi Shannon
Great job of the editting it is really effective and I love the scene too
We sure have some beautiful scenery in our country
It amazes me why people want to shoot off overseas when they live in such a great place
and the funny part is most of them have n ever been out in our bush

  • Hi Julie :) Yes that is so very very true, our own back yard us very special and something to many of us take for granted, but thats the true beauty and joy of being a Photographer, we not only get to appreciate it, but we get to capture all it’s beauty :) Thanks so very much Julie, it was very nice to hear from you :)

Hey there :) Great shot Shannon, funny how I see a billion of these scenes a week and yet take them SO MUCH for granted!! Beautiful vivid colour, great composition and I love the creeper climbing up the windmill!!
And it was totally our pleasure to show you a couple of places, and we really enjoyed meeting you guys too – next trip to Tanunda we’ll be giving you a call – you will probably well and truly be an old married couple by the time we get there though LOL!!

Oh and great to see you didn’t get lost on the way back to Robe :))

  • Yeah we took our time getting back, we pulled off a few of those side roads along the way, some amazing places along there, most need 4×4 but we walked a few of them :) We got back to Robe eventually lol :)
