at least in China the police were everywhere/have hardly seen police presence on our streets since I arrived home.

I have very few regrets about my stay in china but one comes to mind

one sunday/packed church/catherdal in shanghai/sitting with friends/during mass a woman came and sat near/moved closer /behaving strangely/and then with a nervous agitation swiftly tried to pass a large thick brown addressed envelope/ to me. She surprised me and i moved slightly away . My regret is that i did not take it from her . She sat in agitated state til communion and then slipped away in the crowd BUt there were men on mobiles at the back of the church checking the situation. I looked for her after but never saw her again. I tell myself that if I had been on my own I would have acted differently. I never enter a church without thinking of her and her family.

This situation has made me think rather differently/not critical but questioning….......

Sturdy law enforcement, I hope he enjoys the Olympic Games. Are the white gloves for traffic duties? This is a powerful image.

law enforcement in China is brilliant/so to say. One day I came around a street corner and stood gaping..there were about 200 police sitting /relaxing/it would have been the most amazing photograph.but it was one of those moments so we just laughed and I enjoyed .

Most people would have tried to shot from a slightly different angle to get the face without it being covered by the hand. But your photo works actually even better the way it is.

This is a super image Shanghaiwu. There are a couple of minor edits I would do. One is to get rid of the bright lights in the bottom left and the other is the bit of whatever is sticking out from his arm. It grabs attention so I would be doing something with it.
