Our Jasper has been fascinated by all the Christmas decorations . He absolutely loved the Christmas tree. He kept climbing it and I would have to get him down and he would climb up again. Once the tree was decorated I didn’t think we would have trouble but he must be climbing while I’m not looking because our poor tree branches are bending just a bit ….

Jasper is a kitten that my daughter adopted from a pet rescue group that set up adoptions at the local pet store. She wasn’t even thinking about a cat for a pet until she saw Jasper , Such a darling little tiny kitten. He has grown and is becoming a beautiful cat, but he is also quite a character and is into everything. And he loves our Christmas tree.

—-—-—-Although we have the Spirit of Christmas firmly in our hearts, it’s because of little characters like Jasper that we haven’t had a Christmas tree since the well-meaning lady brought one by the first Christmas of our marriage almost 17 years ago! These guys would sure love one, though!
Nevada might remember the year the tree grew in the house, but she was only 6 months old when it did.
Have fun- don’t put up any kind of icicles or stringy stuff, and nothing that will break. And nothing that you’ll be surprised at the state of when he drags it out next June to show it to you…lol

Ü Thanks Dayonda ! the minute we put the tree up he was sure it was for him .... I was quite surprised when he climbed it the first time…. I told my daughter that she should get him one to climb on all year… she laughed and has had fun showing her friends on facebook the photos.
What would we do without these wonderful pets !

Thanks so much ! until Jasper I didn’t know that cats climbed Christmas Trees,,,, outside trees yes but I guess I can see why. Anyway Jasper is very “active” and fun !

I am so glad you liked this ! Jasper had a great time with the tree last Christmas …. we probably will need a new tree next year because of him choosing the Christmas Tree as a playground !! lol

thanks !! I thought it might be great for the challenge ! We are going to have to get a new tree for next year because I finally gave up keeping him out of the tree and just let him have fun. He would climb up the fake branches to the top of the tree. Other times he would play with the ornaments. but what pretty much bent the tree limbs was when he would climb up and chase his tail around the branches on the tree.

well some of the lights had gone out and so it was just fun to see him play in it.. got some fun photos too ha ha !

so far so good,, our cat Hershey who will be one next week is leaving the tree and ornaments alone,, but he keeps ruffling up the tree skirt,, think he is sleeping on it at night, I gotta sneak down and catch him,, this is a fantastic shot,, his eyes are like,,, oh,ohhhh,, busted,,lol,, peace and love linmrie
