The Dora Canal connects Lake Dora and Lake Eustis in Lake County Florida. This very canal was used during the logging boom in the area to transport logs to the St.Johns River then on to several different saw mills and paper mills that sprouted up along it’s banks. This canal is part of the Apopka/Harris/Eustis chain that are all the head waters of the Ocklawaha River. This is a very majestic and beautiful place rich with history. I decided to do a vintage look with the original color image. It takes me back in time 100 years. The color image is available upon request, unless I decide to place here on RB.
