Gorgeous work! Almost abstract with the broken shards and bits of earth as sky… love it love it!
Thanks so much Tiznar, those are adorable words!
Nice work! Great shot and texture application. It looks like you found some flaking paint there to use for this treatment.
No flaking paint reflector, just a combination of photos. The layer modes have brought out part of the background image of a headstone cracked, and laying on the ground. I like this one because it truly caught the feel of the place – thankyou:)
I can see now that it does look like flaky concrete. It also looks like a wall I found in my city and have overlaid on some beach scenes.
Great texture and layering – faved
Very much appreciated Dave, thankyou!
Feeling of life amongst death & decay in this – like through the cracks of decay, life emerges/through the decay of life, signs of death become obvious.
That’s an interesting observation, though to me it just looks like a one-way street – so little green around…quite a bare, hard-clay cemetery! Was a cemetery ‘day’ for me, as I was paying respects to kin. I found this one a stark contrast to more ‘recent’ cemeteries with visible flowers & tokens on the graves – a much friendlier, inhabited kind of feeling. Thankyou Paul
I love old graves and cemeteries, full of interesting characters and stories – this is a really clever blend of shots!
Yes, many stories are buried there, just the barest glimmer of information and then your imagination expands on the rest…thankyou so much Jane
Yes, happy with this one :) thanks sedge!
