This is a very spiritual piece – I cant believe you didn’t upload this one back in may. Its awesome
shallay replied
I know, I know, I know!... I do that so often though – you have all these photos of one subject to make choices from – and then you move on before it’s really time, often for variety’s sake.
This one did require some work though, and round that time there was a spot on the lens that found it’s way into everything!
Something I’ve noticed about sunsets is that the exposure darkens the sky – so in the back of my mind this felt like cheating to present a shot – presumably ‘natural’ – which is different straight from the camera than in the real scene. The colours here are intensified.
But I’m not lying about the peacefulness & beauty – and just listen to that water lapping and slapping to the edge.. very spiritual.
Urban Umbra
not sure whether to oooh or wow this one….quite stunning :)

lareejc
oooh – this is sooo beautiful and romantic!!!

Yes, there’s a kissing scene in the next frame… No! That would spoil everything:) It was most soothing to be there -Thankyou lareejc.

Perfect….......
Alan Coote
Stunning – I love the halo glow with the vignette effect that results.
shallay replied
Hi Alan, just admiring your portfolio – I get the impression you have a strong technical slant. I’m much less technical – definitely wasn’t aiming for a vignette. Think what makes this special for me is the way the waves are rhythmically spacing out the light – calming effect, as was being there. Welcome to the Bubble!
Joanne Bradley

linaji, you say the BEST things! I love reading your comments on everyone’s work because you always seem so warm and see the wonderful in everything. You actually made something gel for me with your comment above about the eye connecting to the heart: It makes sense of what I should be trying to do – I have to clarify that sometimes to myself!

Beaitiful and interesting image. The sun seems to bend the horizon such that it takes on a very mind Y-shape – with the water reflection being the stem of the Y. Simple but absolutely lovelY.
shallay
A hallucinogenic sunset! Thankyou richard…
