Calendar Disappointment!!
Today I received my delivery of Calendars.. a good thing you might think?? However, I had to pay, at the door, an additional amount of £24.76 G.B.P… this is on an order that originally only cost me £27.00 GBP.!!!!
This was a charge made by the good old British Government covering Import VAT and charges.
So my fellow Bubblers beware the Great British rip-off!.. My calendars have each cost me almost double the original price.. I am so disappointed.. Bahhhh Humbug!

Oh S**t!! I have 3 calendars on their way, I really hope I don’t get stung with that! I have never had any charges added on before for cards, mounted prints or T-Shirts that I have ordered, so fingers crossed there won’t be any for the calendars. How many did you order?

Good old Great Britain!! When will we ever stop being ripped off! We are taxed on everything and we have no choice but to pay up! Do you know that in international business, they call Great Britain treasure island!!!! Thanks for bringing this to our notice!

I received my calendars last week, big well boxed package with 5 calendars. didn’t cost me a single penny more, I would query it with UPS if I was you…. mine were delivered by royal mail.

I Hear You…..........I have sent my daughter some T’shirts etc….......to London from Aus….......for Christmas…........and she tells me last night that she has to pay 20 pound to pick them up from the post office…............I don’t understand….................and I am so dissappointed that she will now have to fork out for her Christmas Pressie…........I will have to post some money to her now…............bugger bum…..........

i worked for royal mail for over 20 years and often had to collect addidional charges from over seas, so i dosen’t matter who delivers you goods, this is due to vat being charged on vat chargable items coming from a country that dosen’t charge vat, RB should find out what the hells going on and inform us how we can aviod these charges

I recieved 2 calenders and no extra charges, Royal mail deivered them. Not sure of the rules. Hope you get this sorted out ok

That really stinks. I’m not liking our government at all at the minute anyhow over our pay… But this is just a rip off.! A friend of mine told me that he ordered something from overseas, wasn’t RB (sorry!) and he had to pay at the post office for its “release”, but them went on the web site for the delivery company and claimed it back? You really should get in touch with them. Especially if others haven’t had to pay and you can prove it. I would be on the phone to trading standards, get familiar with your rights and get a nice line or two from them to quote to the deliverers (in writting).. Always worth a try!

Shall, I received another calendar this afternoon was an UPS delivery….. no extra charge….. sorry. I really suggest contacting UPS and find out about charge.

does anyone know if Redbuuble have been advised of this, becase i know it isnt their fault but i am sure “printed material” is exempt of vat eg if someone was posting newspapers or magazines over but i think im right in saying it has to be put on the envelope that it contains printed material

UPS does the same thing when you get things delivered them from the US to Canada.
UPS is full of crooks!!!!
When you order something from the US we allways tell them to use the US Postal Service and never UPS.
