I had some time to myself the other day and found myself, with quiet glee, free to browse in the ABC book shop. There on the shelf, quite prominently displayed near the doorway was your book. I had forgotten to remember to buy it, which I had thought I would do way back when, but forgetting is much more the way of things ‘round here. So now I have. And so, several months belated, Congratulations! I’m enjoying reading it, not finished yet though I did reread your 2. It’s good to have that little reminder of the strange things that may be going on inside the heads of people you may meet, on line or walking down the street. Never drop your guard, or leave your cat out at night, beware of men who keep the blinds down and their cats in boxes. That Cats story, still top shelf and still oh so disturbing. hope life is good for you. Danielle

Hello Superstar!
what’s going on?
It’s been forever!

hey there stranger, I’m still around. Still at the TAFE, though maybe not for long, new pricing may force me to cross over to the uni a little sooner than planned I think. Been working on a project for the Easter light parade mostly and then, you know, life stuff. How about you?

Ok, since there has been a glaring absence of response here, I have a sneaking suspician you may have thought I was someone else with that first comment and in fact you did not actually wish to know what’s going on with me, could I be right in this? Anyway, I have one more plug for you book so just delete the rest of this and leave the positive comments if you wish…

I knew who it was, Diddles. I’m just very busy. Have a look at the Sunday Herald Sun (sport), carefully, and you will see my name. Last few days of the week are terribly busy. I’m glad to hear your news.
Right now I’m supposed to be sleeping to get ready for a midnight to 6am radio shift. I will write more tomorrow.
Thanks for the lovely comments about the book. My fav (of mine) is The Tragedy…of the book…I like Russell’s take on things.

Had the opportunity to hang around in bed this morning since kids were happily occupied. Decided to finish the book. I thoroughly enjoyed most of it. Had a few favourites, the Derick series was great, Cats, already spoken about, Lucky punters pleased me, Knockers was bloody funny. The whole thing, in the way it created a larger picture of hidden lives lived in parallel was actually a bit of an oddly pleasing surprise, and the fact that you guys banded together to create the opportunity where there was none is truly admirable. You should be damn proud of this one fella. Well done

aah, my apologies then Mr Lost, guess I was having one of those slow dragging weeks which seem to just never end. And damn it I spelt suspicion wrong! Bloody hell! sounds like life is indeed treating you well. So who’s the superstar here? (aargh I so want to use a smiley emoticon here but I shall resist) Will check out the Herald Sun next weekend (and start name dropping immediately) By the way did you know, I once met Toni Colette in the toilets at the Tote, while watching Merrick and Rosso’s band Black Rose before they were famous! See how good at it I am …mwahahaha

Once again you prove you’re the Superstar!
Life’s ok; but my creative writing hasn’t been great…and I miss it.
Many kisses and drunk nights from me to you – next time I’m in Bgo I’ll let you know so we can get drunk on Scotch.
X…Name dropper.

yes it works! 3 or 4 times this morning I tried to get a comment on here but my computer would not comply, kept taking my words and dispersing them somewhere out there in the vastness of cyberspace never to be seen again. So I try again, this time hopefully with more success…
Aaah your virtual kisses and virtual nights of drunkeness have warmed the cockles of my heart . As for Scotch, I look forward to it. Until then fella, I offer you warm thoughts and cheeky comments free from emoticon, despite the urges (oh the urges) to add just one winking smile or wide bracketted grin..

ok, so I forgot to get the Herald Sun on Sunday. Got distracted by festival carry-on, broken toes and hippocampus’....so I googled you and this is what I found (among other things)..
. I’m very impressed fella, though I understand you missing the creative writing side. I’m sure I’m not the only one who also misses the occasional input from you aswell. You seem to be wearing several rather important hats these days (also you are a weight lifter and IT businessman in the UK and you own a Harley in Queensland. hehehe ) X
