Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

shaman spirit

deep elixir
reliever of sorrow
I have been ripped open
to tear away the grief
I dig deep
to find the place that gives peace
I empty myself
and my silence awakens the queen in me

I am open and ready to receive
what the universe has chosen for me
I am an empty path
ready to be filled with
life giving water
so that my soul can burst forth
and gurgle songs of laughter
and healing
and nourishment
to everything around me

I am waiting and wanting
to heal myself
and everyone

a healing is happening within

I am a dreamer, artist, and mother. I dance in the rain, spend too much time reading books, and live for my family. I am a gypsy, poet, musician, and artist. But most of all, I am a butterfly fairy. Come dream with me.

This might sound cheesy, but your poem reminded me of a Bryan Adam’s song. So tender and sensitive.

  • Oh Duff, you know I go for cheesy… this was so loving to listen to, thank you for always sharing.

Great writing Patty Jo thoughtful and sensitive wording – the emphasis on being empty in order to receive is so very true-so much depends on the need for space, a wheel needs the space between its spokes – that path can be filled with hopeful anticipation and growth as a person yet the key to this is allowing it to happen. Take Care

  • george, there is a scripture in the bible that talks about being an empty vessel so that you can be filled with his spirit. i think the same applies for anything in life, in order to receive we must have a place for it within ourselves.. sometimes emptying out the old to fill it with new is the best remedy when we are needing a life change.. it’s like taking out the garbage.. thank you so much.

    Grief is wise,
It takes us to places through stages we must visit.
I feel your tenderness and I wish we could truly tend each other…
    Beautiful writing my darling

  • people have looked at me in a strange way in the past, when i made the statement that i welcome grief. it is a path to something, to the next level, and i welcome the change it leads to. you’re such a wise feminine woman and our sharing here has helped me along my way more than you can know. xxx

resignation with grace and humility instead of defeat and helplessness will attract healing and love… invites a gentleness of spirit that awakens from within. xoxo

  • cos, you are so right. our heartspace and inner thoughts attract the things that come to us. to open ourselves with love and a gentle spirit will attract much the same. beautifully said. xxx

this is so cool and so true, and so many of us have been there and turned away, but laying yourself open for what you should and where you should be takes courage, and a bravery that can surely only be followed by happiness. Bravo. Beautiful write, you capture what we all think so very well. I actually watched the Susan Boyle audition again yesterday and it made me cry……………. an ordinary human being who believed in herself, took a chance, got mocked and still does by many, but boy did she find out where the universe wanted her!!!

  • my darling soaps.. i’ll have to lookup that video on youtube, but i remember her journey. we are all ordinary and remarkable in the same time. hold my hand and we’ll walk the healing path with courage together. xx
