i am coated, drunk,
intoxicated
the dark strength that is you
shakes my inner core
you leave me empty
and aching for more
to fill

the lingering scent
the bed unmade
the pillows abandoned
bearing silent witness to
explosive passion
a nuclear power
the final trace of
your having been here at all
is a fading circle of passion
on the base of my neck
and the barest trace of your lips
where they brushed softly
against my breast
this act is silent
and although right now
i am solitary
i am never alone
