postcard

postcard belongs to the following groups:

It had been missing for some time
a piece of me
so slight I had overlooked it for quite a while
until one day something dropped inside
and it echoed as it hit
full of hollowness
undefined
and in a rush, flashbacks
fragments of flavors
that I had forgotten
hand written tellings of moments
abandoned
but not erased
etched on the inside of my heart
left like a secret to myself
like a postcard that
slipped under a dresser
full of hellos and goodbyes and
i wish you were heres
all to be forgotten
until a rainy day
when I decided to look into the dark places
I had been ignoring

I found a piece of me
in the postcard you left
on the deepest part of my heart
