This is one of the few abandoned piers left in Edgewater New Jersey. South of the George Washington Bridge used to be filled with old piers but progress has taken them away, not that they have any real purpose anymore.
I used Google earth to scout the location and a website that forecasts fog. http://www.lawrencevilleweather.com/fogmaps/nor... . And sometimes just looking out the window does not show me when it is foggy since I’m about 200 feet about sea level. So I check the NYC live web cams before running out early on the way to work.
