©Seth F. Weaver, Sr. 03/24/02. This work was inspired by an old “Marlboro” cigarette ad. I liked the movement and feel of the central figure on the horse. The other element are pure imagination. This is another in my cowboy series although this work is 8 years older than my new Old West paintings. This work depicts the rough and dangerous life in the Old West as some wranglers try to keep the horses spooked by a sudden storm from running off. This was painted for my son’s collection. Acrylic on 8×10″ stretched canvas.
