LOVE LETTERS; AND THE SHEER HANDS OF POETS

I lost a poem once,
it was marked:
RETURN TO SENDER;

a lily of the valley
graced its stamp,
scented and ready
for deep.

The letter,
a current of water—
passing through
an endless amphora
filling the sky
with the sea

on its way
from the sand inside
the blossoming pearl
like freshly
fallen
snow:

the guts of this whole operation;
the reason bears root in spring.

I wonder mostly
where the love letters go
when the scent
of shadow becomes;

and the lingering scent
upon my hands
is too much

Artist's Description

how do the words of poets come? like aquarius is the between the gift of water: delivering water from sky through her bottomless amphora back to the sea.
at least that’s how I see the muse, a vision of selfless beauty and light—and water, always with water.
