Letting love find another way home (Written for the CORE Writing challenge #6)

The doors in my eyes
could never hold you—
you were born
the minute
you flew.

I will
my chains
to not follow

what the wind
leaves behind
in your wake;

I will
simply
grow higher,

until I am

Reborn

as sun
on the wind of your face,
leaving
the world

behind.

Artist's Description

I wrote this yesterday am after seeing the new CORE writing challenge. It’s just a little thing that came to me while absorbing the brilliant artwork given Here.
.
.
And on a weird sidenote, I wrote this first thing yesterday A.M. Then I went and read Bob’s (realms) poem Reborn and was amazed at the synchronicity of the words written on the same day. Pretty cool mindtrip.
