Ah, what’s not to love about the dear Denroaspis! Seriously, the mambas are snakes I love to see in zoos… but I’m just not sure I’d trust myself dealing with them in the field! That’s some potent stuff…

Great work managing the artificial light. This is a great composition (which can be tough when you’re shooting through glass). Good work – -

Most people would not find this cute, but because of the wonderful clarity of colour & detail & the positioning of the snake at the time of capture, I have to say this is a gem…...... A better name to suit would be Emerald Princess. Because there is something so regal and powerful about this creature.
However if I was stood next to it, in close proximately, say it was coming at me, I would have to yell & run! lol Magnificent Jocelyn. A gold star from me! Tina

You know what’s funny, is I saw this on the moderation tab for the Reptiles and Amphibians group (I’m that group’s host), and I recognized this immediately as the western green mamba from the Jax Zoo. I guess that means I have visited that zoo one too many times, lol. Very nicely captured; he looks like he’s giving you a very coy grin. :)
