Day’s End

Thank you for giving me the gift of life to enjoy light of another day.
So I might see the earthly beauty surrounding me.
The heat of the sun as it shines through leaves of the solid oak tree
standing strong to provide protection from the elements for me.
The quiet strength of the water as it as it flows over me, soothes my soul.
It provides a place for reflection, healing and forgiveness.
Finally, I take a deep breath, feel the wind on my face smell the trees in the air,
I gently kiss the sun goodnight as I listen to the lonely call of the Loon.
