Crop rotation producing beautiful contrasts of colour around this Cape Dutch style farmhouse in the Overberg countryside of the Western Cape of South Africa.
dirt road, farm, landscape, overberg, rape, sheep, south africa, western cape, wheat
This is a beautiful capture J, the contrast between the green/s and the yellow of the canola fields s magnificent.
Thank you for the compliment. I feel honoured.
Beautiful landscape, Jim.
Thank you Ann – this is my preference of the two that I posted – but it is odd that this has had minimal views compared to the one with sky in it. maybe a lack of sky makes us claustrophobic.
And another, oh fabrous day!!!! Jim this is wonderful and I think you have captured it exactly as it is. I have painted this type of undulating Overberg landscape and it’s very difficult to include the sky at times because of the vastness of these fields. Then the problem comes in of having a steeply curved horizon that just doesn’t look right, so much so that I’ve had to alter or scrap my paintings several times. You have taken a beautiful photograph here, very well done!
Thanks Sandra – I never expected that. Baie dankie!
Super! I didn’t notice there wasn’t any sky until I saw the comment. With a landscape like that, who needs sky?
I couldn’t agree more! Thanks for the visit and the favourite. Nice to “meet” you Phillip. Jim
