My first proper attempt at “Digital Painting” using a Wacom Tablet and many of the tools and filters in PS-CS3 and Corel Sketchbook. Inspired by, and copied from (in many ways), my photo – Fields of Gold.

nice work jim, its a great interpretation of the photo, lovely colours.
Thanks Andrew – it’s a bit of a mix of techniques, but fun to do.
This must have been great fun to achieve, Jim. Wonderful end result!
You are right – great fun, and a lot of frustration too. I couldn’t get the foreground right, it was just a golden swirl. Then I tried the grasses brush in photoshop and was delighted with the result. Thank you Ann!
Nice work Jim… love the colors…=D
It was primarily the combination of bright colours that I was after in this one – thanks Bill
Lovely work Jim
Simply beautiful work, colourful image.
Thanks Gouzelka – first attempts at painting with PS and my new Wacom Intuos 4 (a real fun toy)!
I got Wacom too, but didn’t use yet, need to learn.
I know several folk who have these somewhere in a cupboard – rather like the exercise bikes that they hang their clothes on in the bedroom! It takes a bit of getting used to, but is well worth persevering with. Fantastic for shading, for cutouts and for signing those great works of art of yours. Have a go – and enjoy it.
Thanks a lot Scott.
Wonderful work!!love the colours!
I’m so glad you like it, for a new venture this is very encouraging – Thank you Edyta
