A Chorus Line à la Rock Art by

Please “View Larger”

Inspired by the hallucinogen induced rock art of the Bushmen of South Africa this is an exercise in layers and textures using my own photos in PS-CS3.

The figure is cut from the natural swirls of cigarette smoke, offset against a tinted cracked cement wall and drizzled with a hint of drying seaweed from the east coast of the island of Zanzibar!

Genuine Rock Art from Bushmanskloof

cement, chorus line, cigarette smoke, photomanipulation, rock art, seaweed

Wow! This is fantastic, Jim. What an eclectic mix! Love it:)

  • I’m so glad that you like it, and thank you for favouriting it too. In my perception the figure is facing forward – unlike Doubleheader’s above, who thought that they were dancing camels!

wonderfulcreative a joy to see !LIZ

  • Thank you so much Liz, I really appreciate your comment. This is a whole new area for me and I have to admit that it brings a lot of selfish pleasure when the end result appeals. It is a real bonus when it appeals to others too!

I love your creative imagine here. Great work!

  • I really enjoyed doing this one and suspect that you might see the smoky figure again – she comes in many different forms. Thank you for your compliment, and choosing it as a favourite.
