The Tiger is the largest of the 4 big cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.3 metres (11 ft) and weighing as much as 306 kg (670 lb).
Tigers are fierce predators with a calculated intelligence that makes them one of the leaders out there in their natural environment.
They tend to be loners so you won’t see them hunting in groups as you do with Lions.
One of their best tactics is to chase potential prey into the water.
Tigers are extremely fast swimmers & can easily over take larger prey in the water that they may not be able to match for speed on land. They feature webbing between their toes which is why they are naturals in the water. They also confuse their prey due to the white spots on the back of their ears. Many animals think that these are eyes. This is believed to help them stay safe from predators though as they will be less likely to come up to them from behind.
