    Thanks Thomas and Devan ! We were lucky that the cloud cover was low in the sky. You can see it in the shot where the moon penetrates the cloud layer at the start of this series. I would have liked to start this series from the horizon but it was obscured by the clouds.

    Did you do this with a Digital SLR? I’ve experimented with leaving the shutter open using bulb and just covering the camera with a box and removing the box for a seconds at a time… but haven’t received the results I was looking for….

    Brian – yes I did. I took multiple exposures over a two hour period and then blended them together using Photoshop. It’s definitely far easier than doing a multiple exposures on a single frame of film !
