This was exactly what was heard in a loud Australian accent a few years ago in the Louvre.
Everyone who understood English started cracking up after the first sentence. There was a slight, studied pause before the laconic second sentence. Then they just started weeping with laughter, much to the puzzlement of everyone else. True story. For me, it captures that characteristic ’don’t take life too seriously’ aspect of Aussie humour.
