Melaina

Wandering through my
Underworld
I found your body
Still and curled
Like a snake
Like a newborn child
Hair long
and tangled
and wild
And from my lips
of ochre red
I woke you with a kiss
so sweet
that it would raise the dead
I Fed you
With my immortal flesh
Let you drink of my breath
Filled you with
my lover’s milk
Suckled you
With sweat and blood
Held your racing heart
like a dove
Defiled you
Sanctified you
with my Love
I fed to you the seeds
of my heart
And bit my lips
as you burst them apart
