Miru

Miru is a Polynesian demonic goddess who dwells in her underworld, beneath the islands. She devours the souls of men after drugging them with kava, a drink brewed from the roots of kava plant that has similar effects to alcohol…then cooks and eats them in her eternally burning ovens.

Yeah, i fell in love with the Polynesian myths when living in Hawai’i. They have the FIERCEST gods – quite antithetical to how we seem to view that particular culture, heh.
