and said “goodbye, you bloody locks
and ruby lips,
i’m gonna sway my hips
and that Prince
won’t know what hit him…”

She cropped her hair
lined her eyes in kohl
pulled on her jeans
and cranked the stereo

dipped her sugar-cube
and sipped her drink
licked her lips
and before she had time
to think
grabbed her boots
and her purse
walked across the floor
looked around
and said
“I won’t be coming back here
anymore…”

    Well…...Selkie…..Snow White sometimes had a limited view on life….yours is much more realistic and strong…..and a good cropping of the hair as a sign of renewal always helps so the fire can be seen in those expressive eyes of yours….......there is always beauty in strength !
