On August 2nd, 1967, The Monkees filmed a series of music sequences in the Rainbow Room at The Fred Niles Studios in Chicago during a “day off” from their tour. Putting that day to good use, the guys ultimately recorded videos for 6 of their songs that would later appear on their TV show. The Rainbow Room is legendary among Monkee fans & its’ unique graphics have become synonymous with those 6 songs. I’ve created designs to celebrate each song, so go ahead & enjoy your own summer of love everyday!
My entire commission from this work goes to The Davy Jones Equine Memorial Foundation, which was created by his 4 daughters (all girls) to continue their Fathers’ efforts to rescue horses in need & give them homes for life.
