Great shot Sandi and good title too. Nick xx

  • The crazy thing is as big as a jumbo sized artichoke and that is all I could think of when I was taking shots of it. Perhaps I was a tad bit hungry LOL. Thanks Nick – Sandy

Beautiful shot Sandy, love the colours and tones, well done

  • Thank you Phil. I have passed by this display plant at my favorite nursery so many times, but I don’t think the reds were apparent before. Sandy

Pretty sure this is one I’ve seen called Hens and Chicks.

  • Hi photojeanic – thanks for the reply, and it’s nice to meet you!. I have had the Hens and Chicks before and remember their leaves as being more pointed and without the fine fringe of hairs on the edges of the leaves. I actually took the photo at a favorite plant nursery and am embarrased to admit I forgot to look at the label. Sandy

I think photojeanic maybe right Hen and Chicks plant maybe the (Tectorum Red Flush)

  • Hi Penny, Thanks for the response, but, see my reply to photojeanic. After I replied to her I read your suggestion, so took a quick peek on the internet for photos of the hens and chicks (tect. red flush), and while we are getting closer, still not a bulls eye yet! Sandy
