The Girl Goes High by seeya

Currently unavailable for purchase

This is my 14 year old granddaughter Karlee just after she had “headed” a ball. Yes, I missed the shot with the ball. She lives in S. Calif. Her soccer team was playing in N. Calif very close to where I live. In July her team won the National President’s Cup Championship in Murfreesboro TN. But, alas, they did not do well this tournament.

I came……

I saw……

I joined…..

and I am so glad!

Wonderful action – she must be thrilled that you captured this!

  • She did not see this until this morning and she is in one of her teenage girl bummed out moods, so the photo only got a “so what shrug”. The team played poorly and did not move on to the finals for this tournament,. She will mellow out by the time they get home to So. Cal and I am sure I will get a text mail with an apology and kind words for the photo. I think you understand lol. Sandy

Karlee will enjoy seeing this image, Sandy! Kudos to you, Karlee & her soccer team for doing so well!

  • Thank you Laurie. Her response was a “so what shrug” when she saw the photo this a.m. The girls are all so tired as they have played 3 other tournaments in So Cal since winning the National President’s Cup in TN in July. I think they need a short break. I know that I will get a text message from her with an apology soon.

But what a fantastic action shot!!!!!

  • Maggie, Thanks for the comment. It has been an exciting journey for these girls this year, and the team felt they let themselves down this tournament. Karlee called on her way home and said she wanted me to email the photo to her, and talked for a while, so she had finally done her processing and was ready to put the tournament behind her.
