When we were in Skjolden I was very fortunate to be able to go out in an FRC (Fast Rescue Craft) and explore the fjord’s coastline from a different perspective.
(the FRC needed to be taken for standard test run and one of the guys needed some training, so the DC (Deputy Captain) thought that I might like to go along and take some photos while they’re out there anyway! … What an exhilarating experience … I’ll link up a picture of the FRC for you here as well, give me a mo)
Anyway, Skjolden lies at the end of the Sognefjord, which I believe is the worlds longest fjord … the water has a distinctive cloudy turquoise colour to it … it’s spectacular!!
