    Beautiful image!!!

  • :)) Thank you Leon
you know, we were sitting outside a restaurant, just a little further along, also at the water’s edge, enjoying a wonderful dinner and a glass of red … and we were treated to this glorious sunset … I don’t think it gets much better than that :)

HEY, Tina! But U are a Pro!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I’ve just visited ur website and I left a comment! I just love the website! UR SHOTS A RE IMPRESSIVE! I’m looking for a website with copyright for my shot and I liked yours! Please, explain something about it…I don’t want to bother U….. ;-)
    FAB FAB FAB WEBSITE, Hon!
    DANIELA

  • Oh !!! WOW – Daniela!! – you’re an angel!! :)
I saw your note you left me – you are so kind :)) Made my day, you did!! :) and now I see you left me such a wonderful note here too!! Thank you so so much for your very encouraging words!!
    Thank you! :))

The website … – it’s hosted by Zenfolio You get basic templates and you can also modify / create your own templates to suit the themes you want … so on my site you will see that the Baby Gallery looks different to the Wedding Gallery which again looks different to my Corporate Gallery or my Floral Gallery … so there is loads of flexibility!! … For me the site is also a back-up storage of all the images that really important to me – I can download them again from there at full res if I need to.
So what I did was that I bought a domain name that I wanted and then I had the site point at the domain, otherwise it’ll read something like zenfolio/seeonesoul.com or something like that I think.
Zenfolio update and upgrade on a regular basis, so in the year that i have been there they have introduced loads of great new features. They take into consideration what their photographers are wanting and needing too – there are online forums within the Zenfolio site where you can ask for techie help and support while you’re building / running your site or if you want to make requests etc – so they have people of their own in there and otherwise the community is great too – people help each other out loads.
Basically, for me it was a thing of needing a site where i can display my work, have my own unique URL, create a look and feel that I want and also host secure galleries for my clients (password protected) … etc etc … This is really doing it for me. I spent a fair amount of time scouring the web and looking at other people’s sites … and because I’m not a IT fundy with great technical skill and computer know-how, I found the whole idea of building a website of my own a really daunting challenge. Zenfolio was my saving grace though – I found it easy enough to follow the instructions and work it all out bit by bit … and the more I built the more I learned the more involved I got and the more I customised the whole thing ….

Whew ;) lol … I hope all that helps you a little bit ;)
If you want to know anything specific, let me know – I’m happy to help out!! …
Oh – you can also have an integrated shopping cart on the site and they are linked to some fulfillment houses, but I haven’t really used the facility … I’m looking to complete my integration back to my RedBubble page – I like the product quality I get here etc, so this is what works for me, but you may want to explore the options they offer. I do use it for 6×4 or 7×5 prints, but not for the bigger stuff really … I may change that in time, but we’ll see.
If you decide that you want to build your own site via Zenfolio, then use my referral code to get a little discount ($5) on your subscription: B8V-K83-BCG
… lol … there we go … let me know what you want to know more about :))

  • PS … sorry Daniela, if any of the link don’t work anymore, then I’m sorry … I’ve done another round of work on the site, reshuffled things in the filing system at the back … But you know the site address – you’ll have to access galleries via the menu if you want …
(just thought I’d better say, ’cause of the work I did today)
