Point Defiance, United States

DEDICATING these works to my Chaps “son”-in-law and his little family. He is deployed. Please pray for all those in harms...

Marguerite Christine has been retired since 2010 and has begun to dabble in various mediums of art. She is a novice photographer using a digital bridge-camera.

Having been raised in the desert of Southern California and almost 40 years in Hawaii , she has always been entralled with the ocean. Some of her most vivid memories of childhood are camping in the National Parks, at the seasides of Malibu, Oceanside, San Clemente, and Huntington Beach in Califormia. She raised her children along the beaches of Pakala, Kekeha, Waimea, Salt Pond, Poipu Beach, Kalapaki Bay, Anahola, Hanalei Bay, and Ke’e on the Island of Kauai. She feels blessed to have been raised by parents who had a deep appreciation for nature, natural phenomena, the arts, and music.

Until her husband retires, the couple are making their home in Washington State. Having time now to explore the arts is fulfilling a lifetime dream. She is taking lessons in painting, clay sculpture, and photography.

My Very First Sale and Not "To Me from Me!!!"

There have been sales recorded in my RB portfolio. Unfortunately and yet fortunately, they have all been sold to me! The fortunate part is, I wanted to see what the RB cards look like, and I wrote notes on them and sent them to troops in the Middle East! My very first real sale is a 4" X 6" card of “Pike’s Public Market at Dusk – Ta-Dah!.” Who would guess? I…

Skagit Valley Bridge Collapse

There was an incident last evening when the Skagit Valley Bridge collapsed here in Washington State. Just a few weeks ago, I took hundreds of photos in the surrounding areas of Mount Vernon tulip fields and the little town of La Conner and have been downloading some of them. A 150’ section of the I-5 (Interstate 5) collapsed. Three cars plummeted into the Skagit River along with the brid…

New Camera - Oh My Gosh

My husband decided I should have a better camera. We went to Best Buy and now are in debt for a Canon EOS D60. So far, it’s taken 3 attempts just to get the battery to charge! LOL! I did manage to get the date put in! Ha, it weighs a ton with the lens on it. I’ll probably fall forward onto my face with the weight of it while trying to figure out bells & whistles as well as k…

Computer Photo Libraries

My photos were corrupted on my computer. I am able to access some photos on the external hard-drive, I nearly lost my heart! Some photos are corrupted with subtle flaws but I am thankful for those which have survived. / Photos are downloading into RB with a little complicated rig-a-ma-row effort. Again, I am thankful! / I have a lot of catching up to do in viewing all my new friends’ …
