Interesting that you would post a drawing on the political scene there (impressive, by the way).
I was thinking how cool your illustrations would be as political editorial satire for some famous paper, magazine, or in syndication.

Thanx for the compliment Frannie! Although I will make a new version of this one (because of a few nasty lines) I also think this idea suits good with my few other political ideas.. The thing with making political art for papers is that you have to be very, very productive. I am and could be but I still don’t make one each day!

I can see where that would be a problem for syndication in newspapers. A weekly news magazine would be less pressure, but still require fresh satire each week. By fresh, I mean it’s not like you could have a creative spurt, create 1000 x 100 drawings and stash them in a drawer, for those dry periods. :-P
Still, a news weekly would be nice. You seem drawn to satire.
Sebastiaan Koenen replied
Weekly could be possible I think. You’re right about the sarcasm hing… Although I do my best to withhold myself from being too ‘sharp’ or hard sometimes before it runes my karma (hehe), the world around me often makes it a tough battle.. When watching reasonable politically orientated television I often have to laugh inside when seeing what’s going on and what’s being ‘missed’... Although I might not reach your advised number of drawings, I already have two (one of them I actually send to a news-paper!) and a few unfinished sketches laying somewhere! Unfortunately I’m mostly driven by the need to form my creations towards something viewable (as a result of a search for beauty and ugliness) as well as often symbolically or psychological impregnated…

If you reach the “advised number of drawings” (hahaa, had to laugh at that one), 100,000, then they will erect a statue of you in the center of Amsterdam, and artists the world over will come pay it homage.
Sebastiaan Koenen replied
Haha by the time I’ve reached that number I might be glad to literally transform into dead matter. With only three on my account I already like to sometimes… But then again, instead of a statue a nice vacation with good company is a fine alternative hehe.
