My mother at the age of 18
A portrait I made from an old photograph of my mother (who’s art can also be found on redbubble) and gave it to her as a birthday present. Besides a technical study it was a pleasure but also strange to work on; she must have been around 18 here and looked like I never saw her. The (in my opinion) artistic photograph was taken by a some photographer around 1968 she knew back then..

Thanx Tony! Yeah, just as with yourself, but on a different level, it’s some kind of confrontation when you’re working on such a drawing for a while. Besides that it’s also nice to see they’re happy with themselves being drawn this way.

Thank you Sander! I found the photo almost a little surreal cause of the old artistic shot and the age and appearance of my own mother, which I wanted to show herself. Looking at it again now, I’m not totally sure where I see the resemblances of my sister and myself..
