It has been my experience that art is a lot like life. That is both are pretty much what we make of them. With that in mind I have created a series of images based on the philosophy of "art as life and life as art.The starting point is January 2007. The place is Washington State in the U.S.A. It is refered to as the evergreen state and is famous for having a cool wet climate. During the course of one year I took over twenty thousand digital photos that followed the seasons as one transformed itself into the next. All along the way I used the collected imagery to create hundreds of abstract collages that fused the colors and shapes of these events. The resulting collection will be presented in the order of creation. It is my sincere hope that viewers will enjoy the imagery as much as I enjoyed creating it. – Ken
It is now 2013 and the work currently being presented was years in the making. The focus of the imagery is an island. The place is both imagined and real. A glowing colorful island stands awash in a spectral sea. Kauluwela Moku is it’s name.
