Spanish architect, Rafael Moneo’s West Coast masterpiece, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, detail. The orangish slabs you can see are simply dyed concrete sheets that are fixed to the façade. Moneo rebuilt the St. Vibiana Cathedral, that was destroyed in an earthquake years before, and thus restored a cathedral to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
