oooo wow amazing photo, were u in a cage? Sorry just have to ask. Like your title, & mostly I would agree – what a design – built for speed, agility, camoflage &....feeding…. But they still scare me silly

Ah, this brings back memories from my time in South Africa! Though i never had visibility as clear as this! Such a beautiful portrait of one of my favourite creatures! Thanks for sharing and for showing him smiling and not menacing! I also totally agree wabout going with a bite and not a bang!
