wow!!!!!!! awesome photography.. wonderful selective coloring
Thank you Isa! I was merely uploading it to use it as a comparison with the other one, i was even going to ‘hide’ it, but it seems to have given it a second life!

Awesome job. Love it. Been to New York once. I stayed on Statin Island.
I have ‘proved my theory’ LOLThe viewer is drawn to the arrow to see what it is aiming at.Comparing it to the shot on the right where it ‘fades to grey’ and is not even noticed. The arrow adds to the shot – cos the viewer – ‘pats themselves on the back’ when they spot the arrow and then try to work out why it is there and it it has been added on photoshop as a gimmick or is it really there.Very interesting, thank Sonia for the post of this shot.
damn right again ;-) and it has given this version another life, the viewings are going fast, already 2 faves and a few comments! I prefer this version actually, the arrow does make it more interesting, and the noise on the other version does not add anything, rather takes away the NY slick magic in fact…i Ive just noticed though, i left the bally sign on the cab car on the right ‘on’ in the other version, should have left it too on this version…
thank you Tara, it was just a second take on an old pic for discussion sake with gottheshot, but it seems to be really popular, more than the original! ;-)
love your new portrait picture by the way ;-))
My dream is to have just ONE Christmas in NY in my life, great shot Sonia & thanks for a hint of what I have to look forward to!
It IS SOOO magical! Christmas in NY is for me the essence of Christmas, the smells, the lights, the choirs, the smoke, the cold vs cosy warmth of coffee shops and the scent of cinnamon, the Rockefeller tree and ice ring, confusion on 5th, walk in the park, i could go on and on and on . Magical, you do have to see it, it give me goose bumps just to close my eyes and think about it… Glad i could give you a hint ;-))
I loved this the first time round, all that yellow, fantastic :))
Thanks Trish ;-)
Wow, I love the look of this Sonia……I like the textured affect as well. The selective coloring is awesome!
