Oil on Canvas

Duncan of Jordanstone graduate in illustration and printmaking 2000.

After 10 years of painting the Scottish landscape, my recent work becomes more involved with cloudcover and its effect on light and colour through both its translucent and opaque properties. Clouds have the ability to refract and reflect, creating an ever changing perception of light which inspires my use of colour.

Your painting is just AWEsome. I…wonder How you SEE something you want to paint; like, do you look at something & then retain the Colors in your mind when you turn to the easel? Is it COLORS…you See in your mind’s eye when you’re painting? WHAT?
