Duncan of Jordanstone graduate in illustration and printmaking 2000.

After 10 years of painting the Scottish landscape, my recent work becomes more involved with cloudcover and its effect on light and colour through both its translucent and opaque properties. Clouds have the ability to refract and reflect, creating an ever changing perception of light which inspires my use of colour.

Wow, gorgeous painting, Scott, from the ocean to the magnificent sky.
I’ll have to watch the video after lunch. What a beauty.

Wonderful piece. I watched your video also. Is so instructive with funny music. I like the technique very much. What did you put on canvas after primer?
    Sincerely Kostas

  • Thanks Kostas. Acrylic primer, then oil primer, then transition of cool and warm grey in oil, left to dry before next stage.
