Glen Spean Light by scottnaismith

The Nevis Range as seen from Glen Spean, West Coast Scotland.

Original size 50 × 50cm
Oil on canvas

Duncan of Jordanstone graduate in illustration and printmaking 2000.

After 10 years of painting the Scottish landscape, my recent work becomes more involved with cloudcover and its effect on light and colour through both its translucent and opaque properties. Clouds have the ability to refract and reflect, creating an ever changing perception of light which inspires my use of colour.

Very nice work Scott. I like the way you use the colors in the sky and in the reflection. Not always easy to perceive. Well done !
