abstract, landscape, oil, scotland, contemporary, scottish, expressionist, croft, clourist

Duncan of Jordanstone graduate in illustration and printmaking 2000.

After 10 years of painting the Scottish landscape, my recent work becomes more involved with cloudcover and its effect on light and colour through both its translucent and opaque properties. Clouds have the ability to refract and reflect, creating an ever changing perception of light which inspires my use of colour.

Your paintings are all outstanding! The purple with the turquoise looks like people standing and socializing amongst one another. Well done, again : ]
